Conduct Standards

Conduct Standards breaches cannot be relied on by a buyer to establish a breach of agent’s duty, as explained in this case.

While a seller is entitled to appoint multiple agents on open listings, an agent must ask if another has also been appointed and if so, must provide the seller with a written statement that the seller may have to pay commission twice.

Failure to disclose obviously important information to a prospective buyer is a serious Conduct Standards breach, eg
